Our History
In October 2016, a small group of Pastors was brought together with a common interest. They desired to find a way to reach and assist women and families facing unplanned pregnancies in Galveston.
After much prayer and planning, they contacted the faithful and successful Pregnancy Help Center of Brazoport for guidance. With their support and assistance, the board of directors of PHC Galveston was formed.
On March 19th, 2018, we celebrated our Grand Opening with the community. We were greeted with a wonderful outpouring of love and support!
Our Future
We are committed to providing ongoing support through practical assistance such as diapers, formula, and baby food for families in need. As a medical clinic, we offer free pregnancy tests and medically necessary ultrasounds, along with compassionate, individualized counseling about pregnancy options to women in our community.
Our services also include educational classes, practical support throughout pregnancy and early parenthood, and post-abortion counseling- ensuring care that extends well beyond a single appointment.
We look to the future with prayerful expectation, believing that more young women and men will seek hope and help at our Galveston center, and that a growing number of individuals and churches will partner with us to serve them with love and compassion.
Our Statement of Belief
The Child
The Bible teaches the humanity, personhood, intrinsic value, and divine creation of the preborn.
The Pregnant Woman
She is a person for whom Christ died; therefore, she deserves the Christian’s acceptance, love, and care. She is accountable to God for her choices about her pregnancy, unborn child, life, and response to God.
The Christian
Each Christian has a divine obligation to protect the unborn child and to promote the sanctity of life. For the Christian to fail to protect the unborn child’s life is sin. Christians are called to minister to the pregnant woman and her child.
